Does the calculator handle wrong-answer penalties?

Yes. Enable the deduction option and enter the penalty coefficient — for example 0.25 for a quarter-point deduction per wrong answer — and the tool subtracts that from the raw score automatically.

Which grading scales are supported?

The calculator supports standard percentage scoring, the A-through-F letter scale, and the 4.0 GPA scale. Switch between them from the scale selector at any time.

Can I grade an entire class at once?

You can enter scores one student at a time and the tool accumulates a running class average. For bulk imports, use a spreadsheet and paste results back into your gradebook.

Is any student data saved or transmitted?

No. Every calculation happens locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers or stored anywhere.

Can I use weighted sections with different point values?

Yes. Define each section separately with its own point value and the tool combines them into a single final score.

Does this replace an official grading system?

This tool is a convenience calculator only. It does not replace your school's official gradebook, student records platform, or any accredited assessment process. Always confirm final grades through your institution's official channels.
