How many subtitle tracks can I add per video?

There is no hard limit. For practical performance reasons we recommend up to 10 language tracks per conversion.

Are subtitles burned into the video or selectable?

By default subtitles are embedded as soft tracks, meaning viewers can turn them on or off. A hard-burn option is also available if you need subtitles permanently visible.

What if my SRT file has encoding problems?

The tool requires UTF-8 encoding. If your SRT uses a different encoding, open it in a text editor, save as UTF-8, and re-upload.

Will embedding subtitles reduce video quality?

No. Soft-embedding does not re-encode the video stream, so the original quality is fully preserved.

How long does processing take?

Most videos process in two to four minutes. Very long or high-bitrate files may take slightly longer.

Can I use this on a mobile device?

Yes. All processing happens on our servers, so mobile users can upload and download large files without any hardware limitations.
