Will the restrictions work in Adobe Acrobat and other readers?

Yes. The permissions are embedded using standard PDF encryption that is respected by Adobe Acrobat, Foxit, PDF Expert, and most other compliant readers. Note that some third-party tools may attempt to bypass these restrictions.

What happens if I forget the owner password?

There is no way to recover a forgotten owner password — not even our servers store it. Keep your passwords in a secure password manager before applying them to important files.

Is there a file size limit for free use?

Free accounts can process files up to 50 MB. If you regularly work with larger documents, our premium plan removes this cap and also enables batch processing.

Is my document content visible to your servers?

Our servers process the file to apply encryption but do not read, store, or index the content. Files are permanently deleted within one hour of processing.

Can I use this on my iPhone or Android phone?

Absolutely. The tool is fully responsive and works in Safari, Chrome, and Firefox on mobile devices without any app download required.

Which encryption level should I choose?

Choose 256-bit AES for most use cases — it is the current industry standard. Use 128-bit only if you know recipients are using older PDF software that does not support AES-256.
